The University’s Uni-Link bus service will take you straight to the University of Southampton campuses from the International Airport, from Southampton Central rail station and from Southampton Airport Parkway rail station. The U1 bus can pick you up from stations and airport and take you to the main Highfield Campus or to a stop close by Avenue Campus (see here for route and timetable). The U2 bus can pick you up from Highfield Campus and the civic centre and drop you off at Avenue Campus where the symposium is held (see here for route and timetable).

By train:
Southampton is easily reachable from most major cities in the UK through either Southampton Central station or Southampton Airport Parkway station. Look for timetables and prices on the Nationalrail website. Also have a look on the Megabus website which often offers very cheap train tickets from major cities (including London) to Southampton Central.

By bus:
National Express and Greyhound offer coach services from all over the UK to Southampton centre and Southampton University directly.

By plane:
Southampton International Airport is connected to major cities in the UK and Europe. Flybe and Eastern Airways, the airport’s main airlines, offer low-fare flights to most destinations. AirFrance operates services from Paris. Other low-fare airports close to Southampton include Bournemouth, Bristol and London Stansted. Travellers outside Europe are suggested to consult major airlines flying to London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports.
